TEAM WRT CONFIRMS DRIES VANTHOOR AND CHARLES WEERTS AS ITS 2021 ADAC GT MASTERS DRIVERS

28/03/2021

Team WRT today announced the driver line-up for its 2021 ADAC GT Masters campaign. This will be the second time that the Belgian squad will run a full campaign in the ADAC GT Series, which has become one of the top continental series for GT3 in Europe. The #32 Audi R8 LMS will be entrusted to Dries Vanthoor and Charles Weerts.

Dries Vanthoor:
“I am happy to do the ADAC GT Masters again. I think it’s one of the highest sprint championships at the moment. Everybody are so close to each other which makes it really fun. Also, the battling at the track is something different compare to other series. Last year we have shown that we are very competitive – we’ve got one victory and a few podiums and that was a good start of our first season. Hopefully now, for a second year, Charles and myself will try to do it even better and I look forward to the start of the season.”

Charles Weerts: “I look forward to the season. For me this championship will be one of the toughest. Last year we learned a lot and my goal for the season will be to give my best in every race, to fight for victories and possibly for the championship. Of course, it will not be easy, but let’s see how it goes.”

Vincent Vosse: “We are eager and thrilled about going back to the tracks and race again. ADAC GT Masters is a very competitive and high-level series and like in every championship it will be hard to fight for the title, but we will do our best. In our debut season last year, we took a victory and a few podiums and have shown a strong performance. Now we are very motivated to be even more successful and the aim is to fight again for top positions and for the championship.”
